-
-
- Eeeeek! I'm supprised that you haven`t had any problems before! Perhaps you
- Powersupply has only just bowed under the strain of constant use (very hot!) &
- heavy demand?
-
- I started having problems with my setup (was A1200/`030 + external Hd
- (Overdrive)), when I had to swap from using an external powersupply to using
- the diskdrive port for Hd power. I occasionally got read/write error
- problems, and occasional hang from heavy disk usage, but not much else...
-
- I would IMMEDIATELY buy a Goliath PowerSupply from Datel (look in
- AmigaFormat/CU Amiga/etc..). This is a fan cooled mother of a power-supply,
- and should hopefully stop you problems.. If it doesn`t, then atleast you know
- that you won`t have any power related problems in the future as you should
- have! With your set-up, I think is probably necessary! (?)
-
- Should cost ú45 ish. Check the advert.
-
-
- >Does anybody have any recommendations of a suitable power supply which I can
- >purchase easily in the UK (if this is necessary)?
-
-
- See above! I don`t think there are any other real possibilities - a ú30
- supply with a slight increase in power available is sold, but this looks not
- worth the money compared to the Goliath. :)

- >The PSU I have at present is a _small_ Commodore one (smaller than the A500

-
-
- I too had an A600 psu (replaced my A1200's under warrenty), and these are even
- worse (I think) than A1200 ones! Definitely get a better powersupply!!
-
-
- >If this is not the problem, does anybody know what is wrong? I am reluctant

-
-
- Well, as you took it out and the problem persisted, I doubt that it`s the
- problem. Look at the Boot-screen (both mouse buttons on reset), check the
- board list - it says whether there are any serious problems with the board.
-
- Also, try SysInfo - may help?
